Luke 15
God doesn’t care where you come from. He’s going to be waiting at the edge of the driveway with his arms stretched out to receive you.
Just as the sweet aroma of our life of praise meets the Lord’s nostrils, so too does the aroma of our life that is less than praise worthy. It meets Him in a less pleasant manner. Nonetheless, His love for you is unchanging. His thoughts of you are countless. His plans for you are better than you could possibly imagine.
There isn’t anything you could do to ever create in Him a desire to never take you back. No matter how bad, or how foul, you become He will take you back still with outstretched arms. He will take off those filthy rags and clothe you in his Robe of Righteousness. Then, you will partake at his table in a great feast along with the saints and greats in the faith.
Where have you been? Have you been lying with the pigs, rolling in the pit, eating of the scraps from the world’s table? How far have you journeyed? How long will it take for you to get home? How will you get there? Know the Lord will meet you; you won’t have to go all the way alone. Just start the journey, He’ll meet you.
